Confirmation/1st communion 2023
We had a terrific celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord, we saw 5 people enter the Church and receive the Easter Sacraments, and after our Sunday morning Mass, the children of the parish had a blast hunting eggs in the front lawn.
November Youth Group
Discussion at our youth group meetings have recently focused on the evidence of God's existence, the good and bad influences we allow into our lives, and the need for regular prayer to live in relationship with God. We also attended Princeville's Christmas tree lighting ceremony together and took a great picture around our parish tree!
PET BLESSING 2022
In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, we had a pet blessing the weekend before St. Francis's Memorial Day. It is always a lot of fun to see all the pets interacting and to have the chance to meet one another's animals. After saying a prayer thanking God our Creator for the beauty of nature and the gift of pets, he sprinkled each animal with Holy Water - a little blast of grace for each one.
Totus Tuus Saturday, OCTOBER 2022
Beginning in October, our parish began hosting "Totus Tuus Saturdays" on the first Saturday of each month. This event, which goes from 9:00-10:30 am, is for children in grades K-6. We begin with a children's Mass where the kids read, serve and bring up the gifts, then we head to Soseman Hall for a snack and some major fun. This month happened to fall on the Feast of St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower and the Saint of the Little Way - a perfect way to kick-off this monthly event.
Youth Group Kick-Off 2022
Our parish youth group is for 7-12 graders and we just had our kick-off event. It was supposed to be kayaking and swimming at a nearby lake, but the weather didn't cooperate. We still had a great time meeting new people, having a home-cooked meal, playing sports and spending time with the Lord in prayer.
Totus Tuus 2022
This summer our parish was blessed with the presence of 4 college aged students who hosted the Totus Tuus summer camp for a week of fun and faith.
Eucharistic Procession 2022
To celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ on June 19, we processed with our Lord around the block, stopping in the front yard of three parishioner's homes to pray and reflect on the Sacred Scripture.
First Communion 2022
On Sunday, May 1, three of our little ones received their First Holy Communion and we crowned the statue of Blessed Mary.
