Many teens attended the youth group event at Aaron and Kelly Cowser's home. They roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. They prayed the rosary in the cemetery and listened to Father Corey speak about the topic of purgatory and why we pray for the dead.
Sixth grade was in charge this Totus Tuus morning of the readings, altar serving and making a nice poster for the altar. We celebrated the rosary with games after Mass. Thank you to Kathy Sullivan for heading up these fun mornings! There will be 3 more so don't miss out!
The annual church picnic was so much fun!!! Delicious food and wonderful fellowship ending with popcorn and an outdoor movie!!! We hope to schedule more movies (maybe indoor now that its cold) with themed food ideas...let me know your suggestions =)
St. Mary's Youth Group kicked off the new school year with fishing, boating and a cookout at the Bowers' home. Fun and faith were enjoyed by all who attended!

SIXTY-FOUR parishioners of St. Mary of the Woods with family and friends attended a Peoria Chiefs baseball game on August 26th! The weather was AWESOME, the Chiefs WON and best of all we can attend another game for FREE any day there is a game between September 2nd-10th (because lines were so long and because they ran out of food...LOL)! SO MUCH FUN!!!
Totus Tuus 2023 was a wonderful time for all involved! Thank you to all who donated their time, money and love to support THE CHILDREN of our parish and surrounding communities! Brimfield, Wyoming and Kickapoo students joined Princeville students this year. The kids enjoyed the entire week. Enjoy the pictures!
The Steubenville Conference is a weekend-long event that gives high schoolers the opportunity to encounter Christ in a personal way through great speakers, dynamic worship, Sacraments and community with 1,000s of peers. Members of our youth group drove 9 hours to have an incredible experience together.
Please help us in applauding long time parishioner Diego Lopez who competed in the 2023 Special Olympics Summer Games. Diego earned a silver medal in the 25 meter backstroke and placed fifth in 25 meter freestyle narrowly missing bronze by 0.2 seconds! We are all inspired by your determination.
